Overview of Primary vs Contributor Seats/Licenses

Welcome to RecruitBot! One of the first questions you might have is, "What is the difference between a Primary Seat vs a Contributor Seat?"

We use these terms to describe both the different type of license you have for RecruitBot, as well as the differences in features and access each seat has. Let's help break down what you get with a Primary vs a Contributor license with a full, detailed table below. If you want to see your needs in a specific use case, just keep reading.

The Main Difference:

If you want the short explanation, here it is - PRIMARY seats CAN send emails via outreach to candidates and the CONTRIBUTOR seats CAN NOT send emails. It's that simple!

Use Case #1 - You're a Hiring Manager or Recruiter

If you're a recruiter, you're all about sourcing and outreach--filling the pipeline to get amazing candidates in front of the hiring manager. You'll typically be using the PRIMARY seats to search for candidates, rating them based off their qualifications, and then conducting outreach via EMAIL to set up those interviews.

If you're a hiring manager, you'll be using the CONTRIBUTOR seat to both conduct your own searches, and contribute to reviews of candidates. But won't be reaching out via email directly.

-If this is you, it sounds like a PRIMARY seat for each recruiter and multiple CONTRIBUTOR seats for those hiring managers might be the best fit. Reach out to our Sales Team to find out how we can help.

Use Case #2 - You're a recruiting agency with multiple clients

With RecruitBot, you can harness the power of team/group searches to source for many positions--rating across candidates and then conducting outreach with your PRIMARY seats to build an amazing portfolio.

Then, you can invite your clients to a CONTRIBUTOR seat so they can review your searches, adjust ratings of candidates, and get to interviewing!

-If this is you, you'll probably need multiple PRIMARY seats for your team members and CONTRIBUTOR seats for those clients. Contact our Sales Team to learn more.

And if you're curious, an ADMINISTRATOR can be either a Primary or a Contributor, has access to the back end of your RecruitBot account--billing, user and company configurations. Typically, it's the person who manages the account in addition to doing some of the work. Administrators have all the access of a Primary or Contributor, but also have billing and account setting access.
