Welcome to RecruitBot for Sales! Let's get started using RecruitBot for Sales to find sales leads and reach out using our automated email system. This is a Beta and early access for RecruitBot for Sales, so keep that in mind and please let us know any feedback you have!

Getting Started Video Guide:

Step 1: Configure your account to use RecruitBot for Sales (for existing RecruitBot customers--if you're a RecruitBot for Sales ONLY customer or trial, skip this step)

First things--head to your account configuration page located at https://app-qa.recruitbot.com/settings/personal, and toggle RecruitBot for Sales 'on' using the slider.

Flipping this switch toggles your RecruitBot account between Recruiting mode (RecruitBot) and RecruitBot for Sales. You can always change back by using the toggle to alternate back and forth as you wish. Positions and candidates/leads are separate between RecruitBot and RecruitBot for Sales.

Step 2: Confirm your RecruitBot for Sales account and account credits

Once you switch your account to RecruitBot for Sales, you'll notice the color scheme changes to a different color, and the positions are now renamed to 'Sales Lead Lists'. You're in RecruitBot for Sales mode now!

On the top toolbar, you should see the descriptions change (if the toolbar is still active for your account).

Once you're in RecruitBot for Sales mode, check your email and phone credits in the Company section to see how many sales leads you can reach out to. Each 'bucket' of credits is separate (RecruitBot credits are separate from RecruitBot for Sales), so ensure you have enough--or reach out to us here at support@recruitbot.com and we'll drop in some more.

Step 3: Create your First Sales Lead List and Start Searching

Just like RecruitBot (but different), you'll click 'New Sales Project' and name your Sales Project.

Sales Lead Projects (formerly job positions) now look a little bit different, and there are a few naming convention changes to get familiar with:

RecruitBot vs SalesBot

  • Position -> Sales Project or Sales Lead List

  • Qualified -> Sales Lead

  • Candidate Interested -> New Opportunity

  • Interviewing -> Qualified Opportunity

  • Hired -> Closed Won

Once you've created your new Sales Project, start searching for sales leads (formerly known as candidates). Instead of qualifying candidates for a job position, you're now adding prospective sales leads to a sales project, using the same methods you're familiar with from RecruitBot. Mark candidates using the star rating system between 3-5 stars for qualified, or manually set their status to 'Sales Lead'.

Once you qualify candidates, they'll show up on the left side under your 'Sales Lead' pool.

Once you have enough sales leads, you're ready to start building your sales email campaigns.

Step 4: Create your Sales Campaign(s)

Once you have candidates (now sales leads) qualified or short listed, you're ready to reach out using the same automated email tools you're familiar with. Head to the Campaigns section and create a new sales email campaign.

Some things to keep in mind when creating a new sales email campaign--while the underlying tech and functionality is the same as RecruitBot, don't expect the same results. Sales emails are completely different from recruiting emails, including things like open rates, response rates and expectations for success.

We've written a SalesBot Guide to Successful Sales Emails--head on over and get familiar with the different expectations.

Step 5: Send Automated Emails to your Sales Leads

Once you've added sales leads to your qualified/short-list and created your campaigns, you're ready to start sending outreach!

Head to your Sales Leads pool (or, from the search results), and choose the sales leads you'd like to reach out to (just as you've been doing in RecruitBot).

Then, select an email campaign you've created in Step 4 (or create a new one), confirm the content of your messaging and outreach is correct, and start sending your campaign.

You'll notice at the top of the right pane, there isn't an option to reveal email addresses or choose specific emails for candidates when sending in bulk. SalesBot dynamically looks up any valid PROFESSIONAL email addresses for sales leads in real-time, and sends to those emails instead of their personal emails (RecruitBot uses personal emails, SalesBot uses professional emails).

Just like RecruitBot, any sales leads that don't have a valid professional email at the time of sending will go into the 'Unsuccessful' section in the left side navigation.

As sales leads respond to emails, you can reply from your email, or, come back into SalesBot and respond from the 'Responded' section, just as you would in RecruitBot.

We also track the same analytics like open rate, response rates, and all the other metrics you're used to seeing.

If you have any questions during the SalesBot Beta, please reach out to support@recruitbot.com.
